Hefferon And Permut To Speak About Litigation Trends At MBA’s Regulatory Compliance Conference in DC

GoodwinStacked_250x170David Permut, a partner in Goodwin Procter’s Consumer Financial Services Litigation Practice will be a panelist September 20, 2015 at the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Regulatory Compliance Conference in Washington DC.  Permut’s panel will be reviewing claims against the mortgage industry, including buybacks and repurchases, claims related to MERS, UDAAPs and claims under other federal and state laws.

Fellow Goodwin Procter partner, and chair of the Consumer Financial Services Litigation Practice, Thomas Hefferon, will speak on the second day of the conference, September 21, on a panel that will be considering major enforcement and litigation cases with compliance implications. Panelists will review major enforcement actions of the DOJ and the CFPB, as well as major decisions involving the Truth In Lending Act (TILA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), fair lending and other major laws regulating the mortgage industry.
